We’re hiring two Head Coach positions for Field Hockey for the JV and Freshman teams at Harvard-Westlake School. These individuals will work closely with the Program Head to support the Field Hockey Program.

As the Head Coach, you will:

• Coach, develop, and motivate JV players for Monday through Friday after school practices (typically 3:15-5:15pm) and home and away games.

• Develop and execute practice plans.

• Communicate with parents and players regarding scheduling.

We’re looking for candidates with:

• Experience in coaching at the high school level.

• Proficient in field hockey playing and have a thorough understanding of the game.

• First Aid/CPR certification is helpful.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Leadership and motivating skills with the ability to give positive feedback and support, organization, and adaptability.

Harvard-Westlake School

We are an independent school consisting of two campuses located in Los Angeles, California. We have approximately 1,600 curious, thoughtful, and inspiring students enrolled in grades seven through twelve. The Upper School campus enrolls approximately 875 students in grades ten through twelve, more than half of whom are students of color.

Compensation: This is a part-time, in-person position with a base rate of $25 per hour.

Schedule: The Fall season runs from August 6- October 20, 2025. Practices are usually Monday through Friday after school (typically 3:15-5:15 pm) and at home and away games.
